Our Next Unit

This week and next, we will be talking about body parts and our 5 senses.  Naming and describing body parts are skills that often appear on Kindergarten Assessments.  Our story is called, Here Are My Hands by Bill Martin and John Archombault.  Please review the vocabulary related to the story.

In addition, try some of the following activities!

Bath Time provides a great opportunity to talk about body parts.  Ask your child to wash his knees, his chin, his elbow...

Sing songs sucha s "The Hokey Pokey", and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" to learn about body parts.

Play with Mr. Potato Head.  Talk about the function of each body part.

As always, require some form of communication for everything that you can think of!
