The 2nd annual GM Art show was a great success. All prepaid artwork is being kept safe in the art room until we come back from Spring Break. Please, come and pick up your child's artwork from the art room or if your child is a car ride I can send it with them. The framed pictures cannot be taken on the bus due to safe issues of the student and the artwork. Have a outstandingly wonderful Spring Break.
Garrison Mill's 2nd annual art show will be on Thursday April 3rd from 5:30-7:30pm. We are very excited. The same as last year we have partnered with First Artworks to have the artwork framed and displayed. All the framed artwork will be on sale for parents to purchase their child's work (a percentage of the money raised will go back to the Garrison Mill). There will also be additional artwork by the students displaying the many different skills we learn in art class. We hope to see you there.
We are continuing to stay busy in the art room. We are starting the art show projects and they are looking great. The art show will be held Thursday April 3rd in the gym.

January is going to be a great month for the GM students. A great deals of cool stuff is planned. We are really coming back with a bang in 3rd - 5th grade. We are working on a great color unit. The primary grade levels (2-K) are working on their projects for the art show in April.
All the GM students have been busy in the art room work on all kinds of stuff. The fifth, fourth, and third graders are working glazing their clay projects. The primary grades are working on learning our colors. We have a great deal of curriculum still to cover.
Please, remember that the art room always needs things such as, egg cartons, coffee cans, baby food jars, paper towel rolls, etc. Basically, if you think we could use it please sent it in. Thank you for all of your support.
We have already been very busy in the art room this year. We started the year off with some wonderful Native American rock symbols and we learned about ISH. Now, the kids have started Square One Art which is a fundriser for the art department and PTA. Parents you will be receiving more information later in the fall.
