We are continuing our study of weathering, erosion and deposition this week as part of our standard, destructive forces that change the earth. We will do several hands-on activites to wrap up these concepts and then have a summative assessment next Tuesday, September 6th. Students have done several activities, viewed video clips, taken notes from a Promethean flip chart, done workbook pages and read the text book. Many students have also read some trade books on the concepts of constructive and destructive forces. Students should begin reviewing for the assesment a little each night. The textbook, workbook and their journal have all the covered information!
Every Thursday a blue folder, containing some of your student's work from the week, as well as, many forms that may or may not need to be returned or signed by you, comes home. We spend a great deal of time writing comments for your children on their papers in the hope that you too will review them. Please sign anything that needs a parent signature and return it to school promptly. I know time is precious in the evenings but it is very difficult for me to constantly have to ask for and keep up with missing paperwork. I would really appreciate help in this area! The blue folder has a place on the back for parent signature. This tells me that you have seen everything that comes home in this folder!
Lastly, thanks to everyone who sent in the supplies for us to do some fun activites in science this week!
