There is no Sitton Spelling this week.

Math:  We will finish our first chapter in math on place value this week.  We will continue to do Exemplars on Tuesdays and our banana split timed test on Friday.  Congrats to everyone who passed the first two!  Please continue to practice addition facts with your child. 

Science:  We will continue learning about matter.  Hopefully your child can answer the essential question for science this nine weeks.  Ask your child what matter and mass are.  Ask your child to tell you the three states of matter (solid, liquid, and gas).  We will discuss properties of matter this week as well as learn more about each type.

Reading:  Reading groups will continue this week.  We will also start a new author study.  Please remind your child to check out an A.R. book this week.  The Accelerated Reader requirement for this grading period is five points.  I am pleased to report that several students are almost there.  Keep up the great work.

Sally Foster orders are due on Friday.  Also, we have movie night Friday night. Dinner starts at 6:30 and the movie starts at 7:00.  I hope I will see all of you there.
