There is a quiz on rounding large numbers and adding/subtracting large numbers on Wednesday.

The spelling quiz is on Thursday. Your child will come home with the words today. Be sure that your child studies the challenge words.

Aug 15

We have had an exciting first week of school. Please plan to join me at the Open House next Thursday, August 21. I will be going over all the fourth grade expectations. Your children have been having a wonderful transition to the new grade.

Reading

contracts were sent home today. Your child is to read a minimum of five books during this nine week period. Some of the books require an AR test to be taken, one requires a response from a list of choices, and others are for just reading. Please take a look at the yellow reading contract in their agenda for further explanation.

On Monday your child may be bringing home extra homework in the form of  timed tests each night. This is work that students were expected to know coming into fourth grade. If your child brings home a timed test, please check their work then have them finish the remaining problems.
