As a native of Marietta, Georgia, Mrs. Smith is entering her 12th year of teaching. Upon graduating from the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!), she began her career with Marietta City Schools teaching 3rd grade for six years. After the completion of her Masters Degree at Kennesaw State University, she began working at Garrison Mill Elementary School, where she currently teaches 2nd grade with her co-teacher Mrs. Brown. In March, Mrs. Smith and her husband welcomed their first child Liam. This summer, they were able to escape to St. Augustine Beach for a family vacation and enjoyed the quality time. Their second child is an adorable and affectionate 2-year-old chocolate lab named Kenzie who has finally adjusted to a new baby in the house and shows her love to Liam everyday through many kisses. In her free time, Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking ZUMBA (a Latin inspired aerobics class), shopping, traveling, and of course...teaching!
Originally from Berrien Springs, Michigan, Mrs. Brown is on her 17th year of teaching.
