Two things I forgot to mention on yesterday's blog:
If you have not returned the Cobb County Performing Arts donation envelope/permission slip, please do so as soon as possible. Even if a donation is not made, the permission slip must be on file for students to attend these in-house field trips.
Double digit multiplication is NOT a 5th grade standard. Students are expected to be proficient with this prior to coming to the 5th grade. If your child is struggling with double digit multiplication, or doesn't remember the steps, please work with them nightly at home. There is simply not enough time in the school year to back-track and cover skills that should have been mastered last year. Mrs. Hazlett is moving on to decimal multiplication. We appreciate your help and support with this.
