Welcome Mrs. DeLass' class of 2010-2011
Dear Class of 2010-11,
I look forward to working with each of you this year. Fifth grade is an exciting time for you. We will work hard and have a lot of fun too! I hope you have been reading, writing, and practicing your math facts over the summer.
I am always excited about coming back to school. I have been teaching ten years in Georgia. Previously I taught pre-school for 13 years, and one year of 4th grade in New York. Since moving to Georgia, I have taught 4th or 5th graders. Fifth grade is definitely my favorite because of the exciting curriculum.
I have two grown children, one son-in-law and two "grand-dogs"! My daughter lives in Nashville and works at Vanderbilt University. My son just moved back to the Atlanta area and is currently a tennis instructor and coach at Universal Tennis Acadmemy (UTA) in Marietta. He was a former player at Tech. During the summer I had a chance to visit Plain, Georgia and meet Jimmy Carter.
