Welcome Mrs. DeLass' class of 2009-2010
Dear Class of 2009-2010,
I look forward to working with each of you this year. Fifth grade is an exciting time for you. We will work hard and have a lot of fun too! Be ready by reading, writing, and practicing your math facts over the summer.
I am always excited about coming back to school. I have been teaching nine years in Georgia. Previously I taught pre-school for 13 years, and one year of 4th grade in New York. Since moving to Georgia, I have taught 4th or 5th graders. Fifth grade is definitely my favorite because of the exciting curriculum.
I have two grown children, one son-in-law and one "grand-dog"! My daughter lives in Nashville and works at Vanderbilt University. My son graduated from college this past May and is currently a tennis instructor and coach in the Birmingham area. During the summer I will be attending a teacher institute in Virginia and hopefully hitting the beach at least once.
