Happy Holidays!

I think I hooked them! All of the students enjoyed Tuck Everlasting! It was fun to compare the novel and the movie and learn about all of the Figurative Language that the author uses. Hopefully some of these techniques will transfer into their own writing.

We finished all of our county benchmarks and I was pleased with the grades. Please make sure that your children are reading and writing over the break. This will help them keep their skills sharp!

I am excited about our Holiday Party tomorrow at 11:30! Our room mom's have planned some fun activities. If you are coming to the party, feel free to check your child out after the party and start your holiday early!

Atlanta Symphony

We will be going to the Atlanta Symphony on Tuesday, December 6 as part of the Cobb County Performing Arts series. You did turn in a permission slip in August!  It is going to be held at the Cobb Energy Center.

We are asking all of the students to dress appropriately for this trip to the symphony. No tshirts, sweatshirts, jeans, or tennis shoes. Our students at Garrison Mill always represent the school well! Please help them understand social etiquette when attending a performance like this. Thank you so much!
