Enhancing our study of bridges, we will be going on a fieldtrip to the Georgia Department of Transportation - the bridge design section. We will be going to this Atlanta location on two separate days. Fourth graders will go on October 18, 2011, and Fifth graders will go on October 20, 2011. On both days we plan to receive general information about bridges and specific information about what this particular group of engineers does. Students will be able to see actual work being done and ask questions of those with first hand knowledge about bridges. It will be both educational and exciting. Information about the trip and permission forms were sent home this past week. Please don't forget to list your child's lunch plans on the back of the permission form; thank you.
